Chaiyya means shadow. In 2003, this song was voted #9 (out of 7,000 songs) by people in 155 countries. The film flopped in India, but did better outside the country. The film still won six Filmfare awards, two National Film awards and one Berlin International Film Festival in Germany. Another verion of this song is "Thaiyya Thaiyya" that as also featured in Tamil film "Uyire". Sony video blocked in some countries, including Germany.
